Required Verification Documents for Singapore-based Users

Modified on Tue, 26 Aug at 4:59 AM

StraitsX offers two verification methods for Singapore-based users - Singpass (MyInfo) or Passport (manual verification). The documents you need to provide depend on the method you choose.

Option 1: Verify with Singpass (Recommended)

If you verify using Singpass via MyInfo, no documents need to be uploaded. Your identity details will be securely retrieved from government sources.

You will be redirected to Singpass during the sign-up or verification process to complete this step.

Option 2: Verify with Passport

If you choose to verify using a passport, you will be guided through a secure manual verification process. This applies to:

  • Singapore-based users who select a passport instead of Singpass

  • Users who are not eligible for Singpass

You will need to upload:

  • A valid passport

  • A recent proof of address (issued within the last 3 months)

Accepted proof of address documents include:

  • Bank statement

  • Utility bill

  • Telco bill

  • Government-issued letter

Note: Letters from insurance companies are not accepted.
