StraitsX offers two types of accounts to support different user needs: Personal Accounts and Business Accounts.
Choosing the correct account type is important, as features, limits, and verification requirements differ.
Personal Account
A Personal Account is designed for individual users who want to use StraitsX for their own personal transactions.
Suitable for:
Sending and receiving funds
Converting supported digital assets
Managing personal balances
Key points to note:
Intended for individual use only
The account must be registered under your own legal name
Not suitable for business, corporate, or third-party activities
Business Account
A Business Account is designed for companies, institutions, or registered entities that use StraitsX as part of their operations.
Suitable for:
Corporate or institutional transactions
Teams that require multi-user access
Higher transaction limits
API integration for operational or system-based use
Key points to note:
Requires business verification and supporting documents
Must be registered under a legally incorporated entity
Personal use is not recommended under a Business Account
Important Notes
- You cannot use a Personal Account for business or commercial purposes.
- Business Accounts are subject to additional review and onboarding requirements.
- If your use case changes, you may be required to apply for the appropriate account type.
